The steering wheel of the base Chevelle 300 is a clean, simple, 2-spoke
unit with a center horn button, and color coordinated with the interior.
The steering wheel of the 300 Deluxe is similar to the Malibu and Malibu SS steering wheel with the exception of the 2-tone color configuration and the 4 bright rings on the outer rim.
The Malibu and Malibu SS steering wheel were the same as the 1964 Malibu and Malibu SS steering wheels being two-tone (except black steering wheel and black or white interior) and color coordinated with the interior. Note the 4 bright rings on the outer rim that separate the Malibu/Malibu SS steering wheel from the 300 Deluxe model.
The RPO N34 wood grained plastic steering wheel is carried over from
the 1964 model year and will continue into the 1966 model year and was
optional throughout the Chevelle lineup.
The Malibu series El Camino has "El Camino" script on the glove box bezel.
Anyone with a 300 Deluxe series El Camino is encouraged to submit a
photo of this area to confirm what bezel was used in that series.
Door Panels
The base Chevelle 300 door panel was simply appointed with a number
of horizontal pleats.
