Steering Wheels (Group 6.513)
The Chevelle 300 steering wheel was a single color but color coordinated
with the interior.
The Malibu (above) and Malibu SS (below) steering wheel was the same
basic design as the Chevelle 300 but note it's a two-tone color scheme
with the interior and a small chrome divider between the colors.
Note bench seat Malibu SS
Note that when a white interior was ordered the Malibu SS steering wheel
was body color and white.
The simulated wood plastic steering wheel was available on any 1964
Chevelle as option RPO N34 and the same steering wheel would be carried
over to the 1965 and 1966 model years.
Door Panels
Naturally the longer 2-door sedan doors varied some over the 4-door
sedan.
The Malibu and Malibu SS shared the same door panel.
The Malibu station wagon shared the same design as the sport coupe/convertible.
Instrument Panel - Group 10.000
Although the 1964 and 1965 Chevelle instrument panels enjoy the same general shape, there are many differences such as trim, emblems, dash pads, switches etc.
