Data Processing Numbers

Found on Arlington, Baltimore, Kansas City, and Van Nuys. These data processing numbers match data processing numbers found on internal plant paperwork to track the car during assembly. They have nothing to do with any options and are only significant today if paperwork is found for the car and the numbers match up to show that paperwork belongs to that car.

Arlington:
Three- or four-digit number found in block #10 of build sheet. If special order paint then the 3-digit number isn't present on the trim tag.

Baltimore:
Four-digit processing number found in block #24 of build sheet.

Kansas City:
The 5-digit number is actually a concatenation of a 4-digit found in block #24 of the build sheet and a single digit that its origin is not known. For example, for a number such as 02963 the "0296" is found on the build sheet but the origin of the "3" isn't known. It is suspected it represents the work day of the week. No number larger than 5 has been found in this fifth location.

Van Nuys:
The first 6-digit number can be found in block #24 of the build sheet.
The second 6-digit number is actually a concatenation of a 2-digit number and a 4-digit number. The first 2 digits are found in block #10 of the build sheet (SCHED NO) and the last 4 digits can be found in block #24 of the build sheet.
