Accessory ~ Fremont & Oshawa Similar to group option codes on other 1965 plants but Fremont & Oshawa used the Regular Production Option (RPO) code. Canada also lists the convertible top code here if applicable. I've seen formats like TOP-2, TP-2, T-02, etc. for a black convertible top or TOP10 for a white convertible top. Common RPO codes found include: |
Baltimore (from Euclid plant only) & Kansas City
Codes are listed by group and in alphabetical order within the group.
If you know of any codes not listed here, please email me with details - (1) year, (2) body date, (3) plant, (4) group number, (5) letter code, (6) option if known, and a photo of the tag would be appreciated.

(1) The Comfort & Convenience group varied with the series. Type A is for 135, 136, 137, and 138xx series while Type B included a glove box lamp with 131, 132, 133, and 134 series.
(2) The letter "P" isn't known for certain on Framingham Chevelles. It was initially believed to be for RPO Z01/Z13, Comfort & Convenience Group Type A or Type B depending on the particular series. However, a 300 2-door sedan has been documented with "P" in group 2 but it does not have a glove box lamp nor backup lamps, only a driver side door mirror.
(3) Found on a 1965 Nova. Presumed to be the same code for a Chevelle tag.
(4) Entered production March, 1965
*** The letter "L" isn't known on Atlanta & Framingham Chevelles. It is believed this letter "L" is not in group 5 as it has been found on several tags with no group 5 designation.
