1969 Chevelle Rochester Carburetors

This chart contains part numbers, applications and main metering jet sizes for 1969 Chevelle Rochester 4-bbl carburetors. The diameter (size) of the main metering jet is shown for the primary along with the metering rod part number. The diameter of the metering rod is in thousandths of an inch and matches the last two digits of the part number.

As an example, a 255 or 300 horsepower Chevelle with an automatic transmission utilized carburetor number 7029202 with 0.042-inch metering rods (#7034842) and 0.067-inch jets (#7031967). A manual transmission carburetor with part number 7029203 uses 0.048-inch metering rods and 0.067-inch jets. This information is supplied by the National Service Data Manual.

Naturally there will differences in performance when a carburetor is jetted wrong for the application, however small or large it might be.
